Women's Cross Country
Ran a time of 18:44.97 on the 3.1-mile course at the MEAC Cross Country Championships...helped the Spartan women capture their first MEAC cross country title...was the high finisher for NSU, placing third overall and earning All-MEAC honors.
Men's Cross Country
Placed second at the MEAC Cross Country Championship...ran a time of 25:46.66 on the 5-mile course to help the Spartans win their second straight MEAC title and ninth in 10 years...earned All-MEAC honors.

NORFOLK, Va. - Norfolk State begins a two-game road swing this Saturday when it travels to Baltimore, Md. for a matchup with the Morgan State Bears. Kickoff is at 4 p.m. at Hughes Stadium.

NSU will be seeking its first two-game winning streak of the year, while the Bears will be trying to end a two-game losing streak. The game will be broadcast live on the NSU Sports Network (91.1 FM, 102.1 FM and 1490 AM) in Hampton Roads.

NORFOLK, Va. - The Norfolk State men's basketball hosts the State University of New York at New Paltz in an exhibition game this Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. at Echols Hall. The game is free to the public.

NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk State University sophomore left tackle Kendall Noble (Rocky Mount, N.C.) was named the MEAC Offensive Lineman of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

Noble helped the Spartans (4-4, 3-3 MEAC) finish with a season-high 520 yards of total offense in the 41-6 win over Howard on Saturday.

NORFOLK, Va. - Norfolk State University quarterback Dennis Brown (Miami, Fla.) is one of five candidates for the Heritage Sports Radio Network (HSRN) Division I football player of the week award. Vote for him in HSRN's fan poll at www.hsrn.com until 7 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Nov. 3. Brown passed for 226 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 66 yards and another touchdown in NSU's 41-6 win over Howard last week.

NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk State freshman volleyball player Charlotte Armstead (Williamsburg, Va.) was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week, the league announced on Monday. It is the second such honor for Armstead this season.

10.31 | Women's Cross Country
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. — The Norfolk State women’s cross country team won its first-ever Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference championship title on Saturday morning on the campus of Maryland Eastern Shore. The Spartans scored 49 points and had four runners earn All-MEAC honors.

Sophomore Aurora Scott (Portsmouth, Va.) was the Spartans’ top finisher. She completed the 3.1 mile course (5,000 meters) in 18:44.97 for a third-place finish.

10.31 | Men's Cross Country

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – The Norfolk State men’s cross country team capped a decade of MEAC cross country dominance on Saturday by winning its second consecutive conference championship and ninth in the last 10 years.

The Spartans won every MEAC men’s cross country title this decade except in 2007, when they finished second. Included in that span was a conference-record seven straight championships from 2000-06.
