NSU Athletics Now on YouTube, Twitter

NORFOLK, Va. – The cyberspace footprint for the Norfolk State athletics department grew on Wednesday as the department debuted its new pages on YouTube and Twitter.

The official NSU athletics web site, www.nsuspartans.com, now features a video channel powered by the popular video web site, YouTube. The new site can be located at www.youtube.com/nsuathletics. The YouTube video player is also integrated into the front page of www.nsuspartans.com, giving web site visitors the opportunity to play videos directly from the official web site of NSU athletics.

Interviews with coaches and athletes as well as highlights of select games will be posted on the site to give fans and supporters another avenue to follow Spartan athletics. This week, the YouTube channel will feature interviews with Spartan football players and head coach Pete Adrian to preview the upcoming season.

The NSU athletics Twitter page can be viewed at www.twitter.com/NSUSpartans. Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that enables its users to send and read other users' updates known as tweets. Tweets are displayed on the user's profile page and delivered to other users who have subscribed to them, known as followers. Users can send and receive tweets via the Twitter website, Short Message Service (SMS) on their mobile or handheld device or via external applications. The service is free to use over the Internet, but using SMS may incur phone service provider fees, depending on wireless carrier and individual service plans.
