TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Norfolk State men's cross country team finished 13th out of 22 teams in the men's white race at the NCAA Pre-National Meet on Saturday. The race was ran at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, Ind.
NSU finished the meet with 273 points. The buckeye state was well represented as teams finishing in the top three include Ohio (132), Miami of Ohio (159), and Cincinnati (178).
Junior
Ronald Korir finished 11
th overall in a time of 25:11.8, while sophomore
Anteneh Girma crossed the line in a 25:57.1, in 46
th place. Freshmen
Felix Kiprotich (26:01.1) and
Festus Bett (26:13.5) placed 52
nd and 63
rd overall, respectively. Sophomore
Tomas Fantaye rounded out the Spartans top five in 106
th-place with a time of 26:53.5.

Tyreece Huff (28:28.7) placed 107
th and 129
th.
Norfolk State will enjoy a week off from competition before traveling to Smyrna, Del., on Oct. 29 to compete at the MEAC Championship hosted by Delaware State.
