NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State women's bowling team maintained is No. 19 national ranking in the National Tenpins Coaches Association (NTCA) monthly top 20 poll, which was released on Friday.
The Spartans, who made their debut at No. 19 last month, are 43-27 heading into this weekend's competition at the Kutztown Invitational in Reading, Pa. The Spartans went 6-3 overall and finished seventh out of 19 teams in total pins at last week's Lady Bulldog Classic hosted by Bowie State.
The Spartans are one of five MEAC teams ranked in the top 20 this month. Maryland Eastern Shore is No. 2, Delaware State is No. 3, Florida A&M is 18th and Morgan State is 20th.
