NORFOLK, Va. – This Saturday's Norfolk State-Hampton basketball doubleheader at Echols Hall will be broadcast by the Heritage Sports Radio Network on Sirius Satellite Radio channel 137.

This will be the first time any NSU sports team will appear on HSRN, which began operation in 2006 and specializes in the broadcasting of historically black college and university athletic events. The HSRN pre-game show will begin at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, 30 minutes prior to the start of the NSU-Hampton women's game, and will also include the broadcasting of the men's game approximately 30 minutes following the conclusion of the women's contest.

In addition to being available on Sirius, HSRN also has a mobile app available at www.tunein.com.

In between games Saturday, HSRN will present the inaugural Conaway Cup to the NSU football team for finishing first in the organization's HBCU Division I poll for 2011. The award is named after the late LeCounte Conaway, former director of communications and sideline reporter for HSRN who spent more than 30 years working in the field of communications and sports information at a number of HBCU schools and conference offices.
