NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk State head softball coach
Kary Kankey announced Tuesday the signing of
Kari Losure of Reno High School in Reno, Nev., to a national letter-of-intent to compete for NSU beginning in 2009.
Losure, a third baseman and outfielder, was named to the Sierra League first team as a junior in 2007 and was a Class 4A All-State second-team selection last year after hitting .405 with 38 RBI and 27 runs scored. Losure is also a member of the Reno Rail City Smoke softball travel team.
“Kari is a very versatile player and we think she can do great things here at NSU,” Kankey said. “Offensively, she is a solid hitter and we are excited for her to be joining our program.”
