Clear Bag Policy

Maximum clear bag size

12″ × 6″ × 12″

One clear bag per guest, plus a small clutch about the size of your hand. Everything else is easiest to leave in the car.

To provide a safer environment for fans and to speed up entry into William “Dick” Price Stadium, Norfolk State Athletics enforces a clear bag policy at all football games and select special events. All permitted bags are subject to inspection at the gate, and exceptions are made for medically necessary items after inspection. What you can bring

Clear tote

Plastic, vinyl or PVC, and completely see-through. No tinted panels, printed patterns or decorations that block the view inside.

Up to 12″ × 6″ × 12″

One-gallon storage bag

One clear, one-gallon resealable freezer bag per guest — Ziploc® or similar.

Limit one per guest

Small clutch or wallet

About the size of your hand, with or without a handle or strap. Carry it on its own or inside your clear bag.

No larger than 4.5″ × 6.5″ × 3″

Also allowed: cell phones, cameras, binoculars, keys, wallets and other small personal items carried on your person.

What to leave at home

These bags will not be permitted through the gates, and there is no bag check on site. Any bag over the approved size limits falls in this group, whether or not it appears below.

Need an exception? Medically necessary items and approved childcare supplies are permitted after inspection. Let a gate attendant know when you arrive and staff will screen the bag and get you in.

At the gate

How you will be screened

Norfolk State University Police and event staff screen every guest entering the stadium. Screening may include:

Walk-through metal detectors
Handheld screening devices
Inspection of all permitted bags
A pat-down when deemed necessary

Move faster through the line

Leave every bag you do not need in the car.
Have your ticket pulled up before you reach the gate.
Hold your clear bag open and keys and phone in hand.
Arrive early — gates are busiest in the 30 minutes before kickoff.

Accessible parking

Enter atGate 8

Guests who need accessible parking should enter campus through Gate 8 on game day. A valid accessible parking placard or license plate must be paired with a public parking pass, which can also be purchased on arrival at Gate 8.
