Norfolk State University Athletics

As of July 1, 2020, agents or other individuals seeking to represent student-athletes must apply for a certificate of registration from Virginia’s Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (“DPOR”) before the institution can permit them to contact NSU student-athletes. The application can be found by going to the DPOR agency website, http://www.dpor.virginia.gov/Boards/Athlete-Agents/. In addition to the state certification, individuals must also complete the institution’s agent registration packet, which can be found here.

Individuals wishing to act as an athlete agent on behalf of a student-athlete must provide a copy of the agent’s certificate of registration that was issued by DPOR containing the agent’s registration number, and a copy of the application form the agent submitted to DPOR, and any other pertinent information.   Information can be submitted to the athletics compliance office via email to amtucker@nsu.edu or jescott@nsu.edu, fax (757) 823-2242 or regular mail: 700 Park Avenue Norfolk, VA 23504, Attn: Alisha Tucker – Associate Athletics Director/SWA.
