NORFOLK, Va. – Ky Brown (Woodsfield, Ohio) was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week the league announced Monday.

In two appearances last week, Brown went 1-1 in 10.0 innings and tossed one six-inning complete game. She pitched four shutout innings and only allowed one hit and struck out five to earn the win in game 1 of the doubleheader against UMES.

In the first game against Longwood, Brown gave up just one earned run and five hits. She had the lowest ERA of the Spartan pitching staff (0.70) and opponents only hit .162 against her.

On the season, Brown is 5-4 with a 3.25 ERA.
