NORFOLK, Va. – Poor field conditions following more rain on Sunday have forced the cancellation of Monday's scheduled doubleheader between the Norfolk State softball team and Canisius at the NSU Softball Field.

The teams were scheduled to get underway at 1 p.m. on Monday. The contests will not be made up.

NSU will be back on the field next Saturday for the four-team Spartan Classic at the NSU Softball Field. The Spartans will face Army at 9 a.m. and Monmouth at 1 p.m. Saturday, followed by Army at 11 a.m. and Delaware at 3 p.m. on Sunday.
