NORFOLK, Va. – Tickets are on sale now for the inaugural Norfolk State University Baseball First Pitch Dinner, which will be held on Friday, Jan. 27 at the Half Moone Cruise and Celebration Center in Norfolk.
The event, which signifies the unofficial start of the 2017 NSU baseball season, gets underway with a social hour from 6-7 p.m. The dinner and program will begin at 7 p.m.Â
The keynote speaker for the First Pitch Dinner will be 2001 World Series champion Tony Womack, who spent most of his 13-year MLB career with the Arizona Diamondbacks and Pittsburgh Pirates. NSU alumnus Terry Bradshaw, the minor league hitting coordinator for the Kansas City Royals and one of two Spartans to ever play in a Major League game, will also be in attendance.
