LEESBURG, Va. – Junior
Festus Bett finished 15th overall to pace the NSU men's cross country team at the George Mason Invitational on Saturday morning.
In the Spartans' first meet since Sept. 1 and just their second competition of the season, Bett clocked an 8K time of 27 minutes, 35.7 seconds. Freshman
Kamil Jihad was NSU's second finished. He came in 31st overall in 28:54.6. Junior
Bill Kemboi placed 39th in 29:19.8.
Senior
Joseph Wanene and junior Jaylen Banks rounded out the top five for the Spartans, who came in sixth out of seven teams.
The Spartans have next week off before competing at the East Carolina Pirate Invitational on Oct. 12.
