NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State men's basketball program announced today adjustments to its upcoming regular season schedule.
Â
The NSU-Delaware State men's basketball game postponed from last week has been rescheduled. The game will now be played on Feb. 24 at 6 p.m. at NSU's Joseph Echols Hall.
Â
The contest was originally set for Jan. 31 but was postponed due to the threat of inclement weather in the Mid-Atlantic Region. NSU won the first game of that weekend series on Jan. 30, 94-66. The rescheduled contest on Feb. 24 will now serve as NSU's Senior Day and the last game of the regular season.
Â
Howard University also announced on Tuesday that it is cancelling the rest of its 2020-21 men's basketball season out of an abundance of caution due to the health and safety concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Â
NSU and HU were set to play on Feb. 17 and 18 at Norfolk State (rescheduled from Jan. 2 and 3) and Feb. 27 and 28 at Howard. All four of those games have now been cancelled.
Â
The Spartans currently sit 10-7 overall, 5-4 in the MEAC heading into their games this weekend at Morgan State.
