NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State athletics department will host an NCAA Selection Show party on Sunday in Echols Hall. Doors open at 4 p.m. and the show, which airs on CBS, begins at 6 p.m.
The Spartan men's basketball team (24-6) will learn its NCAA tournament pairing during the annual selection show on Sunday evening. The Spartans won their second straight MEAC tournament championship on Saturday, defeating Coppin State 72-57 at Norfolk Scope.
The Spartans will be making their third appearance in the NCAA tournament in their Division I era, following the 2012 and 2021 teams. NSU won a game in both previous appearances, topping No. 2 Missouri in one of the biggest upsets in tournament history in 2012, then defeating Appalachian State in a First Four game last year.
