Norfolk, Va. – The Norfolk State men's tennis team fell 7-0 against Temple at NSU Tennis Complex on Sunday afternoon.

Temple won the opening doubles point with victories on Courts 1 and 2.
Roosevelt Brown III and
Ibrahim Abbas lost 6-1 at the second position, before
Federico Rebecchini and
Hugo Massoni Lena dropped a back-and-forth match 7-5.

Brown nabbed a game from Amine Zraidi in the first set at No. 4 singles, but ultimately lost 6-1, 6-0. Temple's Henrique Petiz beat Abbas 6-1, 6-2 shortly after to put the Owls ahead 3-0.

In two matches that featured plenty of marathon points, Rebecchini lost 6-2, 6-2 to Marin Delmas at No. 1 singles, before Massoni Lena was bested by Hussein El Tawil 6-3, 6-0. Temple took the No. 5 and No. 6 slots by default.

The loss dropped NSU to 0-7 on the season. The team will look to bounce back at Elon on Saturday at 9 a.m.
