LYNCHBURG, Va. - After one of the most successful season in Norfolk State softball history, the awards keep coming in. This time Tuli Iosefa has been named Second Team All-State by the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) for the University Division.

This is the second year in a row that Iosefa has been honored by VaSID after earning First Team honors a year ago. 

Iosefa set the career home run record with her her 31st of her career and 11th of the season. It broke the mark set by Kylee Lopez (29) from 2016-19. Iosefa was a driving force behind a strong 2022 season for the Spartan softball program. Iosefa batted .372 with a MEAC-high 11 home runs and 46 runs batted in for NSU, which finished the season with a 34-23 record. The 34 wins is the most in the programs Division I era. After the season, she was named the MEAC Player of the Year and First Team All-MEAC. She also earned a spot on the MEAC All-Tournament team.
