EARYLSVILLE, Va. – Gidion Sigei led the Norfolk State men's cross country team for the second straight race, earning a top-20 finish on Friday at the University of Virginia Invitational at Panorama Farms.
Sigei paced the Spartans with a 6K time of 18:09.4, a season best. Senior
Regan Kimtai was the next Spartan finisher, clocking a time of 19:26.1 for a 41st-place finish.
Evans Cheruiyot (20:23.1) and
Isa Suleiman (20:44.1) rounded out the Spartan finishers.
The Spartans have the next week off before returning to competition at the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh on Sept. 30.
