NORFOLK, Va. -- Norfolk State softball senior
Alexis Robinson has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Softball Pitcher of the Week, presented by Coca-Cola, announced by the league office on Monday.
The senior in two appearances threw 9.1 innings during which she went 1-1 in the circle. Robinson gave up seven hits while striking out seven batters.
On the short season, Robinson has collected a 4-1 record in the pitchers circle throwing 41 innings with one shutout and three complete games. She has struck out 33 batters while allowing 30 hits and only 11 runs.
The Spartans (7-4) return to the field this Friday and Saturday when they host the Pirate/Spartan Classic at the NSU Softball Field. Action begins Friday, March 3, when NSU takes on Delaware at 10 AM.
