Keith Shumate announced on Wednesday a schedule adjustment ahead of this weekend's three-game series with Binghamton.

With expected rain in Hampton Roads on Friday, the Spartans and Bearcats will now play a doubleheader, one nine-inning game and one seven-inning game, on Saturday, starting at 12 p.m. at Marty L. Miller Baseball Field. The two teams will conclude the series with one nine-inning game, beginning at 12 p.m. on Sunday.

Norfolk State (1-6) will look to get back into the win column after dropping the final two games of the series last weekend to Niagara. Binghamton (1-5) enters the series off a loss on Sunday to Towson.
