NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State men's tennis team fell 7-0 to Hampton on Tuesday at NSU Tennis Complex.
Prior to the match, Norfolk State honored its three seniors for Senior Day:
Saadiq Hinton,
Ibrahim Abbas,
Federico Rebecchini.

Although singles featured many contested matches, Hampton dominated doubles play. The Pirates won 6-1 on Court 1 and 6-0 on Court 2 to quickly clinch the doubles point.

While Hampton won all of the singles matches in straight sets, Norfolk State made the Pirates earn each one. Erden Er narrowly emerged from a second set comeback push by Rebecchini at the No. 1 slot, winning 6-2, 7-6.

Jeremiah Williams defeated Hinton 6-1, 6-2 at the No. 6 position, while Emilian Jorquera defeated Abbas 6-2, 6-2 at No. 5. Daniel Flynn beat
Boris Lunin 6-2, 6-1 at No. 4, and Donte Armbrister earned a 6-3, 6-0 victory over
Adam Kaczmarek at No. 2.

In the tightest match of the afternoon, Ange-Kevin Koua defeated
Hugo Massoni Lena 7-6, 6-4 at the No. 3 position.

Norfolk State returns to NSU Tennis Complex on Saturday, April 15 to face North Carolina A&T.
