NORFOLK, Va. | Norfolk State University head baseball coach Keith Shumate announced the final game of the series with Long Island (LIU) with be played at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Marty L. Miller Baseball Field.
 
Shumate made the announcement as rain is expected all day on Friday.
 
Norfolk State and LIU split a Northeast Conference (NEC) doubleheader on Thursday. The Spartans took the opener, 5-2, and could not overcome a four-run deficit in the second game, falling 6-4 to the Sharks.
 
After Saturday's conference series finale, Norfolk State will wrap up its eight-game homestand on Wednesday against VMI. First pitch against the Keydets is scheduled for 3 p.m.
