NORFOLK, Va. --- Norfolk State picked up two Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) accolades on Tuesday afternoon after a strong start to the 2024-25 season.

Diamond Johnson received MEAC Player of the Week recognitions while senior
Kierra Wheeler earned MEAC Defensive Player of the Week honors following their performances against William & Mary, Longwood, and Missouri.
Johnson led the MEAC in scoring, totaling 60 points over three games. She averaged 20.0 points, 4.3 assists, and 3.0 rebounds per game, scoring 32 points in the win over Longwood.
Wheeler averaged 12.3 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 3.7 blocks across three wins for Norfolk State. She posted a double-double over Longwood with 14 points and 12 rebounds, finishing the week with 11 total blocks.
Norfolk State continues its SEC road trip at No. 22 Alabama on Wednesday, Nov. 14 in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
