STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Norfolk State men's tennis team earned its second consecutive victory on Sunday night, taking down Wagner 6-1 at CSI Tennis Courts.
 
The Spartans (2-2) bounced back from losing the doubles point with a dominant performance, winning all six singles matches in straight sets.
 
Wagner (1-6) took the doubles point with wins on Courts 1 and 2. 
Frederick McRae and 
Boris Lunin earned a 6-3 victory at the No. 3 position, but the Seahawks won 6-3 and 7-5 at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions, respectively.
 
The Spartans faced no issues from there. McRae and Lunin both closed out 2-0 days, as the former defeated Aryan Gupta 6-2, 6-3 at the No. 3 position and the latter beat Kunsh Moolchandani 6-4, 6-1 at the No. 6 slot.
 
Vladisav Gorbatenko continued his strong stretch with a 6-3, 7-5 win over Rodrigo Perez at the top of the lineup, while freshman 
Deniz Okyay bested Jordan Hunte 6-4, 6-1.
 
Jakub Solarski defeated Sebastian Dobson 6-4, 6-4 at the No. 4 position, while 
Antoni Pankowski closed out the singles sweep with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Lucas Darling on Court 5.
