GREENVILLE, N.C. – The Norfolk State women's tennis team dropped a nonconference road match 4-0 at East Carolina on Saturday afternoon at Greenville, N.C.

The Pirates (11-7) won the opening doubles point with a 6-4 victory on Court 1 and a 6-1 win on Court 3 over the Spartans (2-15, 1-5 MEAC).

Joan Madi defeated
Isabella Cottrell 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 6 slot, before Kexuan Zhou took down
Sabina Maria Iurea by the same scoroe at the No. 5 position.

Playing to clinch, Anne Lou Champion closed the match for the Pirates with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Alessia State on Court 3.

Gabriela Davidescu led ECU junior Ines Bachir 6-4, 3-2 at the top position when the Pirates secured the team victory.
