NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State baseball team will host Virginia State in an exhibition doubleheader on Sunday, Oct. 5, at 3 p.m. at Marty L. Miller Baseball Field.
Tickets for the contest cost five dollars ($5), with proceeds supporting the Norfolk State baseball program.
Former Norfolk State athletics director Dr. Marty L. Miller will throw out the first pitch. The game also marks the debut of head coach M.L. Morgan, who will face his father, Merrill Morgan, in the opposing dugout.
Norfolk State leads the all-time series 56-13. The programs have not met since 2012, when the Spartans earned a 10-2 victory. Virginia State finished 17-25 last season, while Norfolk State went 4-48.
