NORFOLK, VA - Freshman pitcher
Amaya McPherson received her third MEAC Rookie of the Week honors following her performance in the Spartans series sweep over Delaware State on Mar. 29-30.
McPherson threw two complete games pitching 15.0 innings recording a 1.40 ERA, surrendering just three earned runs on 13 hits with three strikeouts and one walk.
She also went 5-of-9 at the plate with two doubles, two runs, two RBIs, and two stolen bases.
