LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. — The Norfolk State women's tennis team delivered a dominant performance on the road, defeating Rider 6-1 on Sunday afternoon.

The Spartans set the tone early by securing the doubles point, winning all three flights to take a 1-0 lead.

• Julia Daroszewska and Ines Sabadie earned a 6-3 victory at No. 1 doubles over Lisa Dierick and Daniela Naves
• Yuliya Yurkova and Yana Klimchuk followed with a convincing 6-1 win at No. 2 doubles to clinch the point
• Angelina Maniawska and Regina Urbiola completed the sweep with a 6-0 win at No. 3 doubles

In singles play, Norfolk State controlled the match, winning five of six courts to seal the victory.

• Yuliya Yurkova earned a 6-1, 6-4 straight-set win at No. 2 singles
• Regina Urbiola claimed a 7-6 (7-3), 6-3 victory at No. 3 singles
• Yana Klimchuk picked up a 7-5, 6-0 win at No. 4 singles
• Elena Martinez Prado matched that score with a 7-5, 6-0 victory at No. 5 singles
• Sabina Iurea rounded out the scoring with a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 6 singles
