NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State men's tennis team capped off a strong showing at the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Tennis Round Up with a 5-2 victory over Morgan State on Monday at the ODU Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center. 

With the win, the Spartans improved to 10-8 overall and 3-0 in MEAC play, securing another key conference victory. 

Norfolk State responded after dropping the doubles point, bouncing back in singles play to take control of the match. The duo of Przemek Nikolajuk and Szymon Janzen earned the Spartans' lone doubles win with a 6-2 victory over Roman Filima and Mohamed R. Ghettas at the No. 3 position. 

In singles action, the Spartans delivered across the lineup, winning five of six matches to secure the team victory. Marcin Andrzejczak led the way at the top spot with a hard-fought 6-7 (3-7), 6-1, 6-2 comeback win. 

Szymon Janzen added another point at No. 3 with a 7-6 (7-4), 6-1 decision, while Dominik Simunovic controlled his match at No. 4 with a 6-3, 6-1 victory. Kasper Kulpa contributed with a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 5, and Marcin Dójczynski rounded out the scoring for Norfolk State with a 6-2, 6-4 decision at No. 6. 

Szymon Malecki battled in a three-set match at the No. 2 flight but fell 6-4, 4-6, 2-6.
