AUGUSTA, N.J. --- The Norfolk State baseball team fell 12-1 to Wagner on Sunday afternoon in the series finale at Skylands Stadium.

Norfolk State dropped to 12-20 overall and 9-9 in Northeast Conference play, while Wagner improved to 14-17 (12-6 NEC).
Walker Fuller (0-5) took the loss for the Spartans, while
Ryan Sellers,
James Godfrey, and
CJ Patterson each made relief appearances.

Thomas Ealey led Norfolk State at the plate, going 2-for-3.
Kydese Queen added a hit and scored the Spartans' lone run, while
Ryan Hoeft drew two walks.

Wagner took control early, scoring one run in the first inning before adding two more in the second. The Seahawks broke the game open in the third inning, plating four runs on four hits to extend the lead to 7-0.

Wagner added a run in the fourth and four more in the fifth to push the advantage to 12-0. Norfolk State broke through in the sixth inning when Queen scored on a wild pitch after reaching base and advancing into scoring position. The Spartans could not generate further offense, finishing with three hits on the day, as Wagner went on to pick up the 12-1 win in seven innings.

Norfolk State will look to bounce back in midweek action, taking on VMI on Tuesday, Apr. 14, at Marty L. Miller Field. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.
