LEXINGTON, Ky. --- Norfolk State men's track and field athletes
Kendrick Winfield and
Christopher Basking competed at the NCAA East First Round on Wednesday evening.
Winfield clocked a time of 46.52 in the 400 meters to place 38th overall. The mark ranked as his second-fastest outdoor time of the season.
Basking ran a 10.74 in the 100 meters, finishing 47th overall.
Norfolk State returns to the track on Thursday, May 28, when Brooklyn Robinson competes on the women's side in the 100-meter hurdles at 6 p.m. Fans can watch the meet live on ESPN+.
