2013 (Junior Year): Named to the All-MEAC second team … Became NSU’s first all-conference pitcher since Alyssa Velazquez in 2009 … Coach’s Award recipient along with Alina Moriarty … Member of the MEAC All-Academic Team … Started 33 of the team’s 53 games … Broke her own school record for appearances with 44 and also topped the Division I record for wins with a 21-13 record … Struck out 133 in 200.1 innings with a 3.11 ERA … Ranked 54
th in the nation in victories … Pitched the third-most innings ever in program history … Her strikeout total ranks fifth in single season records at NSU … Now stands fourth all-time in career wins, third in innings pitched, second in strikeouts and tied for first in appearances … Threw 14 complete games and three shutouts … Was a member of the MEAC All-Tournament team … Earned all five of NSU’s wins in the tournament, including the victory in relief against Coppin State on May 9 … Pitched 5.2 scoreless innings against the Eagles and allowed just two hits as NSU won in extra innings … Allowed one unearned run the next day against Delaware State in a seven-inning complete game … Earned the win against Savannah State on May 11 after allowing four runs, three earned, in 6.1 innings of work to send NSU to the championship round … Gave up three runs, one earned, in six innings against Hampton in the championship to send NSU to the if-necessary game … Struck out a season-high seven and allowed just one run on four hits in seven innings in a 5-1 win over Fairleigh Dickinson on Feb. 25 … Did not allow a hit and struck out four in 3.2 innings of relief in a loss to Hartford on March 15 … That started a streak in which she gave up two or fewer earned runs in 18 of her next 19 appearances, posting an 11-3 record with a 1.77 ERA during that time … Included in there were all three shutouts on the year, beginning with a five-inning, two-hit, seven-strikeout performance against Howard in game 2 on March 29 … Struck out five and gave up four hits in seven innings of shutout ball at North Carolina Central on April 16 … Scattered six hits in seven shutout innings in game 1 at George Mason on April 24 … Pitched 3.1 innings of scoreless ball in relief against UMES in game 2 on April 6 and then again in game 2 May 5 at Hampton … Also hit 3-for-17 at the plate with one run and one double.
2012 (Sophomore Year): Named to the MEAC All-Academic Team … The team’s No. 1 starter the entire year … Started 33 of the team’s 49 games in the pitcher’s circle … Appeared in 43 games altogether, breaking the previous NSU record of 39 appearances set by Catherine Wright in 1990 … Owned a 13-10 record on the year with a 3.20 ERA … Posted 16 complete games with six shutouts, one off the program record of seven … Also had two saves … Threw 192.1 innings and allowed 201 hits, 103 runs, 88 earned runs and 78 walks … Struck out 137 batters on the year, the Division I program record and the third-highest total all-time … Her inning total also ranked third all-time at NSU … Finished third in the MEAC in strikeouts and second in appearances … Pitched her best game of the season April 6 in an 8-0 shutout of UMES, allowing four hits and striking out a career-high 12 batters in just five innings of work … Tied the NSU record for strikeouts in a game with 12, a feat accomplished five other times, including twice in five innings … Pitched her first shutout of the year Feb. 25 in an 8-0 win over Army, allowing just two hits in six innings … Allowed three hits and struck out three in seven shutout innings March 8 in a 4-0 win at South Carolina State … Struck out seven while giving up four hits in seven innings April 14 during a 7-0 win against Morgan State … Pitched back-to-back shutouts April 26 against Howard and May 5 versus Hampton, striking out a combined nine batters and allowing just six hits in 14 innings of work … Had nine strikeouts Feb. 26 during a 4-3 win over Delaware … Tallied eight K’s in a 6-3 victory at North Carolina Central on March 28 … Made two plate appearances on the season and had one hit.
2011 (Freshman Year): The team’s No. 2 starter … Named the MEAC Rookie of the Week on May 2 … Pitched in 23 games, making 18 starts … Owned a 6-10 record with a 4.56 ERA … Struck out 71 with 41 walks in 101.1 innings … Threw nine complete games … Ranked fifth in the MEAC with 4.90 strikeouts per game … Batted .160 on the year with four hits in 25 at bats … Had six runs, two doubles and one RBI … Made her most impressive start at UMES on April 27, giving up one unearned run on five hits with seven strikeouts in a 3-1, eight-inning victory … Earned victories in back-to-back outings against North Carolina A&T on April 30 in a 12-1 win and at North Carolina Central on May 7 in an 8-2 victory, giving up a combined 11 hits and three runs with 13 strikeouts in 12.0 innings of work … Posted a season-high eight strikeouts in a 9-2 win over UMES on April 21 in Game 1, giving up two runs on seven hits in all seven innings … Struck out six, allowed two hits and did not surrender a run in 4.2 innings of relief to earn the win over South Carolina State on April 16 in a 4-3 victory… Also pitched well in a 1-0 loss to James Madison on March 9, giving up one earned run on seven hits with four strikeouts in seven innings … Had her best game at the plate May 7 in Game 2 of a doubleheader at North Carolina Central, going 3-for-4 with two runs, an RBI and a pair of doubles.
