2011 (Junior): Played in 18 games … made 12 starts at shortstop … batted .175 with two RBI … three of his seven hits were doubles … was 2-for-3 in stolen base attempts and scored seven runs … hit RBI doubles against Georgetown (2-23-11) and VCU (3-1-11) … went 1-for-2 with a double and a run scored against Virginia State (4-12-11).

At PHCC (Freshman/Sophomore): Played two years at Patrick Henry … batted .333 with one homer, 21 RBI and a .438 on-base percentage as a sophomore.

High School: A four-year letterwinner … batted .380 with four home runs as a senior, when he was named to the all-region first team and all-state second team … was team MVP as a junior and senior … also named to the all-region first team and was an honorable mention all-state selection as a junior.

Personal: Rafael Antonio Colon was born on Feb. 8, 1989 … goes by “Ralphy” … son of Rafael Colon Sr. and Margarita Muniz … majoring in sociology.
