Biography

2015 (Senior Year): Competed in 27 games in the circle and made 19 starts … Posted a 4-13 record with a 3.54 ERA … Struck out 94 in 120.2 innings and threw 11 complete games with one shutout … Stood third in the MEAC in ERA and seventh in strikeouts … Finished her career third all-time at NSU in appearances (107) as well as sixth in strikeouts (236), seventh in starts (61) and innings (409.0), 10th in wins (26), 11th in strikeouts per seven innings (4.04) and 14th in complete games (27) … Named the MEAC Pitcher of the Week on April 27 after a pair of complete game efforts at Coppin State … Threw a one-hitter and struck out seven in seven innings of work in a 7-0 win over the Eagles on April 23 … Followed that up by allowing four hits and one unearned run with five strikeouts in seven innings in a 12-1 victory on April 24 … Her streak of not allowing an earned run eventually reached 20 … Gave up just two earned runs over the last 30.1 innings of the season … Suffered the loss despite striking out a career-high 10 and giving up one earned run in seven innings in a 2-0 loss against UMES on April 3 … Got the victory in her next outing at Morgan State on April 11, pitching all 10 innings and striking out eight in a 7-6 triumph … Tallied her first win of the year in a 9-1 victory over Howard on March 28, striking out six and allowing one earned run in five innings … Allowed two hits and three unearned runs in all seven innings of a 3-1 loss versus Longwood on April 16 … Also had three hits in 16 at bats on the year with two runs and two RBI … Batted 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI at Coppin State on April 24.

2014 (Junior Year): Made 10 appearances on the season, including nine starts … Had a 2-6 record with a 6.48 ERA in 27.0 innings … Struck out 17 and also threw three complete games … Also batted .220 (9-for-41) at the plate with four runs, three doubles, two home runs, 10 RBI and seven walks … Went 1-for-3 with a run scored, a homer and two RBI against UMBC on March 1 … Later in the day, batted 1-for-3 again with two RBI and a double versus Monmouth … Drove in a pair of runs with a walk-off, pinch-hit double with two outs in the bottom of the eighth in a 7-6 win over Rider on March 20 … Batted 2-for-3 the next game against Coppin State on March 22 … Hit a solo homer in the second game of the doubleheader against the Eagles … Also had a pair of hits in game 1 against Morgan State on April 12 … Gave up 10 hits and struck out six while along three runs, one earned, in eight innings of a 4-3 win over North Carolina Central on April 26 … In her previous outing against Howard on April 11, allowed two hits and two unearned runs in five innings of an 11-2 victory.

2013 (Sophomore Year): Member of the MEAC All-Academic Team and the AD’s Honor Roll for the fall semester … For the second in as many seasons, was the team’s No. 2 starter … Was named the MEAC Pitcher of the Week on April 22 after going 3-0 with a 0.76 ERA and 10 strikeouts in 18.1 innings of work in three games … On the year, finished with a 9-8 record and a 3.96 ERA … Struck out 66 in 127.1 innings of work … Made 37 appearances with 17 starts … Threw seven complete games, including two shutouts, with one save … Ranked seventh in the MEAC in ERA and eighth in wins … Pitched a seven-inning shutout while scattering eight hits in a 6-0 win over Delaware State on April 21 …Got the win the day before after allowing six hits and just one earned run in all six innings of a 9-1 victory … Pitched 5.1 innings of relief and allowed just three hits and one earned run while striking out four in game 2 at North Carolina Central on April 16 … Earned her fourth win in a row in game 2 at George Mason on April 24, giving up three runs, one earned, on eight hits in seven innings of a 4-3 win … Gave up just six earned runs in 37.0 innings of work (1.14 ERA) over her last 11 appearances of the season … Pitched the first of two shutouts on the year with a five-inning, three-hit performance in game 1 against Howard on March 29 … Tied her season high with five strikeouts and allowed five hits and one earned run in 6.2 innings of relief in game 1 against UMES on April 6, earning the win along the way … Also hit 9-for-29 (.310) at the plate with four runs, two doubles, five walks and four RBI … Along with her 17 starts in the circle, also started two additional games at designated player … Had a pair of two-hit games, on March 2 against Army and then again on March 6 in game 1 at Savannah State … Went 1-for-2 with a pair of runs scored on March 3 against Marist.

2012 (Freshman Year): The team’s No. 2 starter throughout the season … Named the MEAC Rookie of the Week on March 14 after giving up two earned runs in 12.0 innings of work in wins over Savannah State and South Carolina State … Named to the AD’s Honor Roll … Appeared in 33 games in the circle, making 16 starts … Also started 10 games at designated player … Finished with an 11-15 overall record and a 2.93 ERA … Struck out 59 in 134.0 innings and allowed 168 hits, 69 runs, 56 earned runs and 36 walks … Pitched six complete games, including three shutouts … Also hit .182 on the season with six hits in 33 at bats … Scored six runs and added one double, two home runs with six RBI … Allowed two earned runs or fewer in 17 straight outings at one point during the season … Had two of her strongest outings in the Delaware Invitational on March 18, pitching 5.2 shutout innings in relief against Western Michigan … Followed that up later in the day with a three-hit shutout of LaSalle, striking out five in all seven innings of work … Pitched her first shutout of the season March 8 in Game 2 at S.C. State, striking out four while allowing eight hits in a six-inning, 10-0 win … Gave up just two hits and struck out four without allowing a walk in a five-inning, 10-0 victory at UMES on April 6 in Game 2 … Had her first collegiate hit and drove in a run Feb. 26 against Army … Hit a solo home run and scored two runs all-together March 28 in a Game 1, 6-3 win at North Carolina Central … Also belted a solo homer April 4 in the first game of a doubleheader at James Madison … Knocked in two runs in Game 2 April 25 against Howard.

High School: Competed for four years for coach Jack Wheeler … Earned AAA second-team all-state honors junior season … Garnered first-team All-Eastern Region honors junior year … Named first-team All-Beach District junior and senior years … Also earned first-team All-Tidewater honors by the Virginian Pilot junior and senior years … Named the Beach District Co-Pitcher of the Year as a junior … Led Ocean Lakes to the semifinals of the state tournament and a 22-4 record … Had a 17-4 record with a 0.49 ERA … Also batted .386 with 17 RBI … Earned first-team All-Beach District honors sophomore year and second-team honors freshman season … Led Ocean Lakes to the regional semifinal game sophomore year … Also named Team MVP sophomore and junior years … Earned the team’s Best Defensive Player Award and the Sportsmanship Award freshman year.
