Biography

2007 (Junior Season)
Made 15 appearances for the Spartans, one start and 14 in relief…went 1-4 with a 5.50 ERA…struck out three batters in four and one-third innings of relief against St. Joseph’s (2-10-07)…earned his only win over the season against Old Dominion, allowing one run in three innings of relief (2-21-07)…pitched four and one-third innings of scoreless relief, matching his season-long relief outing, against Seton Hall (3-9-07)…got his first start of the season in the MEAC Tournament elimination game against N.C. A&T (5-19-07)…took the loss in that game despite pitching a season-high seven innings, allowing three earned runs and seven hits while fanning three batters.

2006 (Sophomore Season)
Went 2-5 with a 5.43 ERA in a team-high 18 appearances…14 of his appearances came in relief… pitched three innings in relief against William & Mary, allowing three hits and no runs, and striking out three (2-2-06)…earned first win of season against Iona, pitching five innings in relief and striking out a career-high seven batters (2-25-06)…pitched one hitless inning in relief against North Carolina A&T in the first game of a doubleheader (3-25-06)…combined with T.J. Starkey on the team’s second shutout of the season at Radford (4-12-06)…pitched two hitless innings of relief in that game, striking out two…earned second win of the season against Florida A&M, pitching 3.1 innings in relief (5-7-06)…allowed two hits and one earned run while fanning four in that game…pitched a career-high nine innings against Savannah State, striking out six batters (5-10-06).

2005 (Freshman Season)
Played the outfield and pitched…went 0-4 with a 5.28 ERA in 15 appearances on the mound, 13 of which came in relief…pitched 44.1 innings and was fourth on the team with 31 strikeouts…struck out four in four innings but took his first career loss at Old Dominion (3-2-05)…earned his only save of the season by pitching 1.2 innings against Iona (3-6-05)…received his first start and tossed his first career complete game against Penn State (4-20-05)…gave up six hits and two earned runs over six innings in that game…had a 1.64 ERA in four appearances in conference games…had an RBI single for the first hit of his career against UMES (3-27-05).

High School
A four-year starter on the Churchland varsity…was selected to the All-Eastern District first team all four years, three as an outfielder and one as a pitcher…batted .386 with three homers as a freshman, .444 as a sophomore, .579 with two homers and 21 RBI as a junior, and .359 with four homers and 25 RBI as a senior…was the Eastern District Player of the Year, first-team All-Tidewater and first-team All-Eastern Region at pitcher as a junior, when he went 7-1 with a 1.75 ERA and 38 strikeouts in 52 innings…went 6-3 with a 2.37 ERA as a senior, striking out 59 in 57 innings…was a second-team All-Tidewater pick as a senior.
