2012 (Sophomore): Made 15 appearances and 13 starts, tied for the most on the team … logged a team-high 81.2 innings pitched … led the team and ranked third in the MEAC with 79 strikeouts … also pitched three complete games … ranked 83rd in the country in complete games and 109th in strikeouts per nine innings (8.7) … finished with a 4-7 record … earned the loss despite solid starts against Rider (seven IP, four earned runs) and VCU (six IP, three runs) in March … picked up his first win of the year in the first UMES series, allowing one unearned run with seven strikeouts in seven innings … also got the win in his next start, allowing one earned run in five frames at Coppin State … took a no-decision despite a solid start against Maine, giving up two earned runs in seven innings … picked up his third victory of the year in the April series at Coppin State, striking out nine batters and yielding just one run in seven innings … continued his mastery of Coppin State in the teams’ final series of the year … struck out a career-high 10 batters and allowed just one hit and one run (unearned) over eight innings in that one … struck out eight in four innings, but allowed five runs (four earned) in the MEAC Tournament loss to Bethune-Cookman.
2011 (Freshman): Became NSU’s second-ever Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American and first since 2004 … an All-MEAC second-team selection at relief pitcher … named the baseball team’s Rookie of the Year … led the team with seven victories (7-6 record), a 3.47 ERA and 80.1 innings pitched … appeared in 18 games, second-most on the team, starting eight times … ranked third in the MEAC in ERA, tied for third in wins, fifth in opponents’ batting average (.277), seventh in innings pitched and ninth in strikeouts (56) … gave up two earned runs or fewer in five of his six losses … picked up victories in his first two appearances as a Spartan … pitched four scoreless innings of relief, allowing three hits and striking out four to notch the pitching victory against Villanova (2-19-11) … earned the start just four days later against Georgetown, allowing five hits and three runs, one earned, in six innings to improve to 2-0 … allowed just one earned run over four innings of work in both of his next two outings, against Hofstra (3-5-11) and Penn State (3-12-11) … picked up the loss in his next relief outing against Penn despite pitching eight relief innings (3-19-11) … allowed just five hits and one unearned run … pitched a scoreless inning of relief to get the win against N.C. A&T (3-26-11) … also earned a win in relief against Coppin State with six strikeouts in 3.1 scoreless frames (4-3-11) … made starts in his final five outings of the year, going 3-2 in that span … gave up just one run in seven innings and struck out six, but took the loss against Delaware State (4-23-11) … pitched a nine-inning complete game, his first of the year and one of just two for NSU in 2011, against Savannah State (4-29-11) … surrendered just six hits and three runs, one earned, and struck out three for his fifth win of the year … got the win despite allowing a season-high-tying six earned runs against Longwood (5-13-11) … also earned the win in the MEAC Tournament first-round game with N.C. A&T (5-18-11) … gave up four runs in five innings in that outing … named to the NSU Athletics Director’s Honor Roll for the Fall 2010 semester.
High School: Named to the All-Southeastern District second team as a senior, when he tallied an 8-1 record to help the Wildcats win the regular-season district title … also batted .340 that year … was all-district as a designated hitter his junior season.
