Biography

2007 (Junior Season)
Played in 47 games, starting 42…playing time was split between designated hitter and catcher…batted .284 in 141 at-bats…recorded two hits in a game on seven occasions…knocked in two runs in a game four times…was 2-for-4 with an RBI against Sacred Heart (2-24-07)…hit a two-run double against Binghamton (3-3-07)…also had two hits the next day against Binghamton (3-4-07)…had a two-out, two-run single in a win over North Carolina A&T (3-24-07)…had 13 putouts at catcher against Old Dominion (4-9-07)…had two hits, including a double and an RBI against Maryland Eastern Shore (4-17-07)…hit a solo home run against Savannah State (5-14-07)…drove in two runs in the MEAC Tournament win over North Carolina A&T (5-18-07).

2006 (Sophomore Season)
Batted .338 in 40 games, 39 of them starts…saw time at catcher and designated hitter…first team All-MEAC selection at DH…led the team in home runs (seven) and slugging percentage (.562)…was fifth on the team and 11th in the MEAC in batting average…was second on the team in RBI (33)…had 13 multi-hit games, including seven with three or more…went 3-for-4 with two RBI in first game as a Spartan, at Savannah State (2-4-06)…went 2-for-4 against Marist, delivering the game winning RBI single in the bottom of the ninth (3-5-06)…hit his first career homer, a go-ahead solo shot in the top of the ninth to cap the three-game sweep at North Carolina A&T (3-26-06)…went 3-for-5 with two RBI in that game…had seven hits and two three-hit games in the series vs. Coppin State (4-1-06 and 4-2-06) to help him earn MEAC Player of the Week honors…hit a double, a three-run homer and five RBI in the third game of that series…had his first career multi-homer game, blasting a two-run homer and a grand slam against Virginia State (4-5-06)…ended that game with a career-best four hits and six RBI…had his fifth homer of the year against Delaware State, going 3-for-4 with one run scored, one double and three RBI (4-24-06)…went 2-for-3 with a solo homer in the second game of a doubleheader against Florida A&M (5-6-06)…had three hits, a two-run home run and five RBI in a doubleheader against Savannah State (5-9-06). 

At Hofstra
Played in eight games, starting four, for the Pride of the Colonial Athletic Association in 2005…batted .278 with five hits (two of them doubles) in 18 at-bats. 

High School
Played varsity baseball his senior year…batted .718 with 24 doubles, seven triples and 48 RBI…set school records for batting average and RBI in a season…was a Baseball Factory All-American…played on a Baseball Factory international team that toured Italy during the summer of 2004…helped lead Upper Room to a 24-1 record as a senior in 2004.
