Norfolk State University Athletics

2008: Named to the MEAC All-Tournament team at No. 6 singles after helping NSU to the 4-3 upset over Hampton in the semifinals of the tournament…was also named NSU’s Most Improved Player…had a 6-4 overall singles record and went 2-1 in MEAC singles play…played all her doubles matches with Brittany Foster and posted a 4-5 record, including a 2-0 mark at No. 3 doubles. 

2007: Finished her freshman season 7-10 overall and 6-3 in the conference in singles matches…had a 5-4 overall record at No. 6 singles…teamed up with Donita Peterson to go 4-7 in doubles competition…played five doubles matches with Brittany Foster, finishing with a 2-3 record. 

High School: Played three years of tennis for coach Renee Whitt…was named the team’s Most Valuable Player each of her last three years at Rancho HS…helped her team to the 2005 Sunrise Division Championship title…was also on the track team her freshman through junior years. 

Personal: Ashlee Vonsha’ Daugherty…born on December 21, 1987…majoring in nursing…plans to become a neonatal or pediatric nurse.
