Norfolk State University Athletics

2008: Made the MEAC All-Tournament team after going 2-0 in the tournament and helping NSU to the 4-3 upset of Hampton in the semifinal match…was NSU’s Most Valuable Player… went 9-3 overall and 3-1 against conference opponents in singles competition…led the team in singles wins and tied for the team lead in conference singles wins…tallied a 6-4 doubles record with Jennifer Astbury…the two went 2-0 at No. 2 doubles and 4-4 at No. 3. 

2007: Was second on the team with 11 overall wins in singles matches…went 6-4 against MEAC competition in singles matches…was 5-2 at No. 2 singles and 4-2 at No. 4…posted a 10-5 overall doubles record with Fiorella Valdivia at No. 1 doubles…the Morris-Valdivia team went 6-3 in MEAC doubles matches. 

2006: Went 8-8 overall and 6-4 in the MEAC in singles play…had a 7-7 record overall at No. 3 singles…was 8-5 overall in doubles with Fiorella Valdivia at the No. 1 spot. 

Personal: Lerissa Aimee’ Morris…born on January 26, 1987…majoring in biology/pre-med…plans to become an orthodontist.
