2013-14: Indoor: Dealt with an injury part of the season … competed in three meets (UMES, UNC, Virginia Tech) … won the 60 meters in a season-best time of 7.79 seconds at UNC’s Joe Hilton Invitational … placed sixth in the 200m at the same meet … also ran in both the 60 and 200 at the Hokie Invitational … ran the 400 meters at UMES’ Coach O Invitational. Outdoor: Ran a leg on NSU’s sixth-place 4x100 relay team at the MEAC Outdoor Championship … Cunningham and her three teammates clocked a season-best time of 46.18 seconds at the conference championship … Cunningham also competed in individual sprints in three regular-season meets (Coastal Carolina Invitation, Virginia Cup, Colonial Relays) … ran the 200 meters (26.88) and the 4x100, 4x200 and 4x400 relays at Coastal Carolina … helped the NSU 4x200 relay team take third place at CCU in 1:41.74 … placed fifth in the 100m at the Virginia Cup (12.23) … also ran a 25.75 200m in that meet … ran the 100m (12.27 in prelims) and 4x100 relay at the Colonial Invite … helped the 4x100 team place second in 47.08 seconds … earned a spot on the NSU Athletics Director’s Honor Roll for the spring semester.

2012-13: Indoor: Seventh-place finisher in the 60 meters at the MEAC Indoor Championship (7.60 in both prelims and final) … clocked a 7.64 to earn second place in the 200m at the Gene Anderson Invite hosted by UNC … posted a season-best 200m time of 24.99 to place seventh at the Hokie Invitational … recorded top-five finishes in the 200m at Penn State (fifth, 25.41) and the CNU Captains Invitational (second, 25.42) … also ran a leg on the seventh-place 4x400 relay at the conference championship. Outdoor: An NCAA East Preliminary Round qualifier in the 100 meters and with NSU’s 4x100m relay team … clocked a PR of 11.50 seconds in the 100m at the NSU relays, placing second … also won the 200 meters (24.58) and ran a leg on the victorious 4x100 relay team at the NSU Relays (45.30) to earn MEAC Women’s Track Athlete of the Week accolades … posted a season-best 200m time of 24.34 seconds to place sixth at the Morgan State Legacy Meet … was eighth at the MEAC Outdoor Championships in the 100m (11.80 prelim, 11.90 final) … clocked a time of 11.73 in the 100m at the NCAA East Preliminary Round … ran a leg on NSU’s MEAC championship and East Preliminary qualifying 4x100 team … Cunningham and teammates Champagne Bell, Qua’Nesha Wallace and Brittney McCants clocked a time of 45.12 seconds to win the MEAC outdoor title … the 4x100 relay team posted a season-best time of 44.91 seconds to place 13th – one spot out of qualifying for nationals – at the NCAA East Preliminary Round … the quartet also posted a win at the U.Va. Invitational (45.92) in addition to qualifying for the Championship of America at the Penn Relays (45.41 in prelims, 45.47 in finals) … named the women’s track team’s Most Improved Athlete for 2012-13.

2011-12: Indoor: An impact sprinter for NSU in her rookie season, Cunningham competed in the 60 and 200 meter events … clocked a season-best 60m time of 7.63 in the prelims at the Hokie Invitational … went on to finish eighth in that event at Va. Tech (7.67) … placed sixth in the 60 at the MEAC Indoor Championships in a time of 7.66 … season-best 200m time was 25.20, good for 19th at Penn State. Outdoor: Ran two sub-11.00 100 dashes during outdoor season, with a season-best of 11.90 at the NSU Relays, where she finished sixth … clocked a PR of 24.32 in the 200-meter prelims at the MEAC Outdoor Championship, finishing 12th … helped the 4x100 relay team to a seventh-place finish at the conference championship meet … also ran with the 4x400 team at Morgan State.

High School: Lettered four years in both basketball and track … won the Central District and Central Region titles during outdoor season in both the 100 and 200 meters in her final prep year … placed eighth at the state Group AAA meet in the 100 as a senior, when she earned All-Metro honors … placed second in both the 55 and 300 meters at the district indoor championship as a senior … also swept the 100 and 200 district and regional titles as a junior … placed third at the outdoor state meet in both events as a junior … district 100 meter champion and eighth-place finisher at the state outdoor meet as a sophomore … helped the Meadowbrook basketball team to a share of the district championship as a senior … led the basketball team in scoring and assists as a junior … a Central District all-academic team selection, Cunningham was also named the Meadowbrook Scholar Athlete of the Year as a senior.

Personal: Torie Monet’ Cunningham was born on Oct. 15, 1992 … daughter of Thomas Cunningham and Bertina Harris … majoring in kinesiotherapy … has two sisters, one cousin and a brother-in-law who also attended NSU.
