Biography

2017 (Senior Year): Named to the preseason All-MEAC first team … Member of the AD’s Honor Roll in the fall as well as the MEAC All-Academic Team … Started all 36 games at first base … Hit .242 on the year in 95 at bats … Scored 11 runs on 23 hits with three doubles, four home runs, 10 RBI and 10 walks … Tied for the team lead in home runs … Also was hit by a pitch eight times during the season, good for eighth in the MEAC … Ranked 71st in the nation in hit-by-pitches per game at 0.22 … Finished her career with 34 hit-by-pitches, topping the previous school record of 27 … At the end of the year, stood 39th among active D-I players in career hit-by-pitches … Also ended her career ninth in NSU records in home runs (12), 11th in walks (58) and 12th in doubles (22) … Had perhaps her best game of the season in a win over Howard on April 15, hitting a three-run home run and finishing 2-for-3 with two runs and three RBI … Belted a solo homer and went 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI in a victory over Maryland Eastern Shore on April 2 … Hit 6-for-13 in five games from April 2-8 … Also hit solo homers in a win over Delaware State on March 25 and in game 1 at Radford on March 29 … Had a pair of two-hit games earlier in the season, the first at Campbell on March 4 (2-for-3) and the second at Elon on March 10 (2-for-4) … Hit 6-for-16 in a five-game stretch during that time.
 
2016 (Junior Year): Played in and started all 43 games, one of just three players on the team to appear in every contest … Started all 43 games at first base … Ranked second on the team with a .327 batting average and 28 RBI … Led NSU with 25 walks and 14 hit by pitches … Had 22 runs on 36 hits with nine doubles, one triple and one home run … Posted a .455 slugging percentage and a .500 on-base percentage … Had the second most hit by pitches in overall school single-season records, as well as the third highest on-base percentage and fourth most walks in NSU D-I history … Ended the season second all-time at NSU in career hit by pitches (26), just one behind the record … Stood 20th in the nation in hit by pitches per game (0.33) as well as 57th in on-base percentage and 113th in walks per game (0.58) … Named the MEAC Player of the Week on March 14 … Member of the AD’s Honor Roll in the spring and the MEAC All-Academic Team … Led the MEAC in hit by pitch and ranked third in walks and sixth in on-base percentage … Batted .369 (24-for-65) with runners on base and 17-for-40 (.425) with runners in scoring position … Had seven multi-hit games and seven with two or more RBI … Drove in four runs with just one official at bat in a win over Rhode Island on March 12 … Had four RBI again in a game 2 win at Howard on April 16 and walked twice … Hit 3-for-3 with three runs and three RBI in a game 2 win at UMES on April 21 … Walked twice, scored twice and knocked in three runs while hitting 1-for-2 in a game 2 win over Hampton on April 30 … Drew three walks in game 1 … Also had three walks and went 1-for-2 with two RBI in a win over Sacred Heart on March 12 … Batted 3-for-4 with a run scored and two RBI in a game 2 victory over Rhode Island on March 5 … Went 3-for-5 at the plate with two doubles, two hit by pitches and two RBI in a doubleheader against Morgan State on April 10 … Got hit four times during a three game series versus Coppin State from March 18-19.
 
2015 (Sophomore Year): Named to the AD’s Honor Roll … Played in 32 games and made 31 starts, including 25 at first base and six at designated player … Missed several games early in the season due to injury … Batted .284 on the year with 10 runs, 25 hits, four doubles, seven RBI and eight walks … Ranked sixth in the MEAC with seven hit-by-pitches … Had six multi-hit games on the year … Hit .365 in conference play … Had three within a four-game span from April 3-11, going 7-for-13 during that time … Went 2-for-4 with a double, run scored and two RBI in a game 2 win at Morgan State on April 11 … Also had two hits in two at bats, walked once and scored three times in a game 2 win over UMES on April 3 … Scored a pair of runs in game 2 versus Delaware State on April 18 … Finished the three-game series 4-for-7 with two doubles and a walk … Had a seven-game hit streak from April 18-29, hitting 9-for-20 (.450) during that time … Posted two-hit games in the first games of doubleheaders against Delaware State on April 18 and at Coppin State on April 23.
 
2014 (Freshman Year): A second-team All-MEAC honoree … NSU’s first all-conference first baseman since Allison Greene in 2006 … Gave NSU an All-MEAC honoree as a freshman for the fourth straight year … Earned a spot on the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) All-State first team … Named the MEAC Player of the Week on April 14 … Garnered MEAC Rookie of the Week honors on March 27 and again on April 7 … Team’s Rookie of the Year … Named to the AD’s Honor Roll … Competed in and started 42 games on the season, all at first base … Batted .336 on the year and led the team with seven homers, 35 RBI and 15 walks … Totaled 18 runs on 40 hits with six doubles, a .423 on-base percentage and a .563 slugging percentage … Also led NSU with a .981 fielding percentage … Ranked fourth in the MEAC in home runs and sixth in RBI … Hit .410 (25-for-62) with runners on base … Had eight games with at least two hits and nine with at least two RBI, the latter the most on the team … Hit 4-for-5 with three runs and six RBI in a game 2 win over Howard on March 31 … Also batted 4-for-4 with two doubles, a homer, one run scored and five RBI against Coppin State on March 23 … Finished the three-game series with the Eagles 6-for-13 with nine RBI to earn rookie of the week accolades … Hit 19-for-34 (.559) during a nine-game hit streak from March 22-April 5 … Went 2-for-2 with two runs and three RBI in game 2 against Morgan State on April 12 … Drove in three more runs against the Bears on April 13 to earn the player of the week award … In a doubleheader against George Mason on April 2, hit 4-for-8 with three runs and two RBI … Hit a sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh for what proved to be the winning run in a 3-2 win at Delaware State on April 18 … Batted 3-for-3 with three RBI in a MEAC tournament win over North Carolina A&T on May 8.
 
High School: Competed on the varsity softball team for four years under coach Theresa Jane at Kellam … Tabbed to the VHSCA Group AAA all-state second team her senior year … Named first-team All-Eastern Region her senior year and second-team as a junior … Earned second-team All-Tidewater honors by the Virginian Pilot her junior and senior years … Was also a first-team All-Beach District honoree both years … Batted .525 as a junior with 24 runs and 21 RBI … Led Kellam to the Beach District title and to the Eastern Region quarterfinals her senior year … Also played on the varsity basketball team.
 
Club: Competed on the U-18 Virginia Legends Gold team that qualified for the Premiere Girls Fastpitch National Tournament in California in the summer of 2012.
