High School: Competed on the varsity softball team at Battlefield her last three years of high school under coach Joe Shelzo … Team captain senior year … Hit .400 with 27 runs, three home runs – one of the inside the park variety – and 10 RBI … Batted .343 as a junior in 2013 with 14 runs, four doubles, nine RBI, 10 walks, a .485 on-base percentage and a .636 slugging percentage … Earned second-team All-Cedar Run District honors at utility … Led Battlefield to the district and regional championships and into the state semifinals … Team’s Defensive MVP … Garnered honorable mention all-district honors in 2012 as a sophomore while leading Battlefield to the district championship … Batted .438 that year with 19 runs, three doubles, 20 RBI, a .479 on-base percentage and a .560 slugging percentage … Was also an all-league performer in cross country and track and field at Battlefield … Attended Wamego High School in Kansas her freshman year … Was the varsity team’s starting catcher in 2011 … Was also an All-North Central Kansas League runner in cross country, competing in the state championship … Led Wamego to the league championship in track in 2010, winning the 100, 200 and 400-meter runs and the high jump, setting the league records in all four events along the way.
