2016 (Freshman Year): The 2016 MEAC Rookie of the Year … Became the program’s first-ever winner of either the rookie or player of the year award in the MEAC … Was a four-time Rookie of the Week recipient on April 20 and March 16, 23 and 30 … Member of the AD’s Honor Roll … Earned Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar-Athlete honors … Posted an 11-9 overall singles record, the second-best mark on the team, and went a perfect 6-0 in conference play … Held an 8-2 record at the No. 3 singles position and went 3-6 at the No. 2 spot and 0-1 at fourth singles … Won seven of nine matches during the middle of the season … Earned wins over players from Bethune-Cookman, Delaware State, Coppin State, Hampton, Howard, Morgan State and North Carolina Central … Also was victorious in singles in a 4-3 win over Creighton, winning her match by a third-set tiebreaker … Defeated second-team All-MEAC honoree Elvira Galieva of Delaware State in a third-set tiebreaker as well … Led the team with a 12-8 doubles record, including 5-0 in conference matches … Posted a 9-8 record at No. 3 doubles and a 3-0 mark at the top spot in the lineup … Spent most of the year competing with Liza Gordeeva, compiling a 9-7 record … Also went 2-0 with Dajana Cvjetkovic, 1-0 with Andrea Macchiavello and 0-1 with Ana Popovic … Won six of seven and eight of 10 matches during the latter half of the year … Posted wins over duos from George Washington, Creighton, South Dakota State, Bethune-Cookman, Delaware State, Coppin State, Hampton, Howard and North Carolina Central twice.
