2010: An All-MEAC first-team selection…started all 50 games in which he played…led the MEAC with 23 doubles, a new school single-season record…finished fourth in the league in hits (76), fifth in batting average (.380), eighth in total bases (111) and ninth in RBI (42) and on-base percentage (.439)…paced the Spartans in each of those departments…also broke the school’s career doubles record during the season…his 76 hits are the most of any Spartan player in the Division I era (1998) and most since Reggie Terry also had 76 in 1995…ranked 17th in the nation in doubles per game (0.46) and 23rd in total doubles…had 24 multi-hit games…started off the season by going 4-for-7 with three doubles and four RBI in two games against Villanova (2-19 and 2-10-10)…had a pair of 3-for-4 days in contests against Delaware State and Savannah State in the Savannah State Classic (2-27 and 2-28-10)…doubled twice in four at-bats of a loss to Mount St. Mary’s (3-6-10)…went 5-for-9 with four runs scored and five batted in during a doubleheader sweep of N.C. Central (3-10-10)…hit a home run in each game, a two-run shot in Game 1 and a solo shot in Game 2…the home run in Game 2 tied the game at 6-all in the top of the seventh and final inning, starting the Spartans’ rally…added a two-run single later in the inning…had a pair of two-hit games in the three-game series at N.C. A&T (3-27 and 3-28-10)…belted a solo homer in the loss to Campbell (3-30-10)…went 3-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI in the first game of the series with Coppin State (4-2-10)…batted 6-for-11 with five runs scored in the three-game sweep of UMES (4-10 and 4-11-10)…went 3-for-9 with three doubles, one in each game, at Bethune-Cookman (4-17 and 4-18-10)…recorded a 3-for-5 with a double and three RBI in the first game against Longwood (4-21-10)…tied his career high with four hits during a 4-for-5 performance in Game 1 of a doubleheader at Delaware State (4-24-10)…doubled twice and homered during that contest…finished 5-for-9 with two doubles and three runs batted in during a doubleheader with N.C. Central (4-28-10)…doubled twice and four at-bats and scored two times in a loss to VCU (5-5-10), tying the school career doubles record…broke the career doubles record and tied the single-season mark the following game at Florida A&M (5-8-10)…set the new season doubles record in the MEAC Tournament elimination game win over Delaware State (5-22-10)…went 2-for-3 and knocked in two runs in that game.
2009: One of three Spartans to play and start in all 45 games…led the team with 12 doubles while ranking second with 35 RBI and 171 at-bats…had 14 multi-hit games and nine games with at least two RBI…also hit the first three home runs of his collegiate career…only struck out once every 11.4 at-bats…doubled and drove in three runs in the season-opener against N.C. Central (2-21-09)…was 3-for-4 with two runs scored the next day against Savannah State (2-22-09)…had three hits at Georgetown, going 3-for-4 with an RBI (2-25-09)…drove in another three runs in the win over N.C. A&T (3-21-09)…scored a career-high four runs after walking four times against Coppin State (3-31-09)…was 3-for-5 with two RBI and a triple against UMES (4-4-09)…hit the first two home runs of his collegiate career while knocking in a career-best five runs at Coppin State (4-13-09)…was 3-for-4 with another homer and four RBI in the second game of a doubleheader with N.C. Central (4-15-09)…named the MEAC Player of the Week after hitting .444 in the six games against CSU, NCCU and Delaware State during the previous week…was 2-for-5 with three runs and three RBI in the series finale with Florida A&M (5-2-09), the first of three straight two-hit games.
2008: One of only two Spartans to start all 49 games, Joyce was voted to the All-MEAC second team and to the MEAC All-Tournament Team…Joyce was second on the team in batting (.318), doubles (12), RBI (44) and total bases (72)…ranked 15th in the MEAC in batting and 10th in RBI…was the 89th toughest player to strike out in Division I…struck out just 14 times in 176 at-bats, or once every 12.6 at-bats…had 12 multi-hit games…had a season-high four hits in his second career game, against Chicago State (2-24-08)…was 4-for-4 with three RBI in that game…knocked in a season-high four runs twice, against North Carolina Central (3-9-08) and Florida A&M (5-3-08)…was 3-for-4 with two doubles at Old Dominion (3-12-08)…drove in three and finished 2-for-3 at North Carolina A&T (3-22-08)… was named MEAC Rookie of the Week each of the final three weeks of the regular season…was 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI against Savannah State (4-27-08)…had a three-run triple to key a win over FAMU (5-3-08)…drove in five runs in the three-game series at Gardner-Webb (5-11-08 and 5-11-08)…ended the year on a 14-game hitting streak, including all six MEAC Tournament games…was 8-for-21 (.381) with seven RBI in the tournament…had two RBI in tourney wins over Delaware State (5-16-08), FAMU and North Carolina A&T (5-17-08)…went 2-for-3 with two RBI and three runs scored in that win over the Aggies.
2007: Sat out the season as a non-qualifier.
High School: Lettered two years at Great Bridge…batted over .300 and was named to the All-Southeastern District first team at second base as a senior in 2006…a second-team All-Eastern Region pick, Joyce helped the Wildcats to the district regular-season and tournament titles as well as a berth in the regional semifinals in his final season.
