Appeared in 15 games and started in 11 for the Spartans…registered a 6-5 record and led the team with a 4.33 ERA…tied with Jason Barker for the team-lead in victories…ranked fifth in the MEAC in ERA and seventh in opponents’ batting average (.293)…pitched two complete games…logged 62.1 total innings…ranked third on the team with 42 strikeouts…Davenport earned his first win of the season at Savannah State (2-22-09), pitching 4.1 innings…in another 4.1-inning effort against N.C. A&T (3-21-09), Davenport only allowed one earned run in a no-decision…pitched his first complete game of the season at Coppin State (3-31-09), allowing just one earned run in seven innings…struck out five in a no-decision against Bethune Cookman (4-11-09)…Davenport followed that performance with another five strikeouts over six innings in a win against Delaware State (4-18-09)…allowed just two unearned runs over seven innings in a complete-game victory against Savannah State (4-25-09)…capped his season by earning MEAC All-Tournament Team honors….allowed just three hits and matched his career high with five strikeouts in an elimination-game win over UMES (5-15-09)…pitched 6.2 innings in that contest.

Lettered two years at Wabash Valley…was an academic All-American as a sophomore.

A four-year varsity player at Wooster High...was first-team All-Ohio Cardinal Conference as a sophomore and junior…named to the all-conference second team as a senior.
