2019 (Senior): Finished his senior campaign 6-3, tying with Jon Mahoney for tops on the squad in victories … Struck out a team-best 97 batters, second-most in the MEAC … Amassed a 4.98 ERA in 85 innings … Appeared in 15 games and started 13 times … Threw two complete games and combined on one shutout … Earned his first win of the year after striking out a career-high 12 over eight innings of a win against Savannah State … Named MEAC Pitcher of the Week for that performance … Also went eight innings in his next start, allowing four earned runs to get a win over Delaware State … Struck out 11 hitters in the first series with Coppin State …Fanned nine batters over six innings in picking up a win at Delaware State … Struck out eight in each of his next two starters, victories over Maryland Eastern Shore and Coppin State … Struck out 10 in a seven-inning no-decision in the finale Maryland Eastern Shore series … Pitched a nine-inning complete game and struck out eight in his final start, a MEAC Tournament win against North Carolina A&T … Allowed just six hits and two runs without walking a batter in that game to earn him a spot on the MEAC All-Tournament Team … That win left him tied with Devin Hemmerich for the most career pitching wins in school history … Also finished his career second in school history in strikeouts, fourth in innings pitched and tied for fifth in appearances.
2018 (Junior): Preseason All-MEAC second-team selection … Picked up third-team postseason All-MEAC accolades … NSU’s game one weekend starter, Anderson compiled a 7-5 record and 3.12 ERA in 16 appearances, including 14 starts … Pitched one complete game … Posted team highs with 98 innings pitched and 78 strikeouts … Led the MEAC in innings pitched, tied for second in wins, ranked fourth in ERA and tied for fourth in strikeouts … Three-time MEAC Pitcher of the Week honoree … Opened the season by striking out seven and allowed just one unearned run and five hits over six innings against Villanova … Also fanned six over seven innings of a loss to Hofstra … Named MEAC Pitcher of the Week after earning his first win of the year against Lehigh (7 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 5 K) … That was the first of three straight wins for Anderson and helped him pick up MEAC Pitcher of the Week honors … In his first MEAC start of the year, Anderson allowed just one hit over 7.2 innings and struck out six to pick up the victory against Delaware State … Fanned six over six innings in a no-decision against Coppin State … Recorded the win in relief at N.C. 2017 (Sophomore): Named to the All-MEAC second team as a relief pitcher … Led the team with 19 appearances, 14 coming in relief and five starts … Was second on the team behind only All-American Devin Hemmerich in wins (6), ERA (2.82), innings pitched (76.2) and strikeouts (77) … Recorded one save and one complete game … Among MEAC pitchers, Anderson was second in strikeouts, second in ERA and tied for fifth in wins … Opened the season as a reliever before making all five of his starts in the final month of the season … Also played in 22 games as an infielder, starting 15 times … Had six hits, four runs scored and four RBI at the plate in 38 at-bats while also stealing two bases … Went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a stolen base in the second game of the opening series with Villanova … Pitched four scoreless innings and struck out four to pick up a relief win as the Spartans completed a three-game sweep of Villanova … Also pitched three scoreless innings and struck out three in a relief outing against N.C. High School: A four year letterwinner at Granby … Anderson was named to the All-Coastal Conference first team as a pitcher his junior and senior years … As a senior, Anderson batted .319 and posted a 0.82 ERA to go with 88 strikeouts in 56 innings … As a junior, Anderson was Coastal Conference Co-Player of the Year after batting .359 and going 8-0 with a 0.83 ERA and 82 strikeouts in 57 innings pitched … Helped the Comets win the conference regular-season championship that season and was named to the Virginian-Pilot’s All-Tidewater first team … Helped Granby win the district regular-season and tournament titles as a sophomore and the tournament championship his freshman year … Also wrestled as a freshman, winning the district title in his weight class.
