2018-19: Indoor Season: Joined the track team for the first time in his collegiate career and made an immediate impact in the long jump … Cleared 23-5.5 to win the long jump at his first-ever collegiate meet, the JDL DMR Invitational … Earned fourth place at the MEAC Indoor Championship with a top leap of 23-8. Outdoor: Missed the first part of outdoor season due to spring football practice … Rejoined the team in late April, winning the high jump with a jump of 23-9.5 at the CNU Captains Classic … Earned MEAC Field Athlete of the Week for that performance … Won the MEAC long jump title with a personal-best effort on 25 feet, 10.25 inches on his last attempt … That was the best long jump by a Spartan since 2008 and one of the top 10 in the region … Qualified for the NCAA East Preliminary Round meet, where he was 34th with a top jump of 23-2.75.

2016-18: Did not compete in track his first three years while concentrating on football … Earned third-team All-MEAC accolades at safety as a junior in 2018.

High School: Played three years of varsity football and basketball and lettered two years in track and field … Was an All-State (VISAA) first-team defensive back as a senior ... Named to the all-state second team as an offensive athlete ... Played quarterback, receiver and defensive back at various points for Bishop Sullivan, averaging 120 yards of total offense per game ... Passed for 524 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for another 462 yards and 10 TDs ... Had 50 tackles on defense and also returned a punt for a touchdown on special teams ... First-team all-conference (TCIS) at defensive back and second team at quarterback … Was indoor and outdoor state champion in the high jump as a senior, while also winning the state outdoor championship in the long jump … Was also seventh at the New Balance Indoor Nationals in the high jump as a senior, earning All-American honors … Had high school personal bests of 6-8 in the high jump, 23-6 in the long jump and 47-0 in the triple jump.
