Note: Prior to 2011, an athlete had to advance to the finals of an NCAA Championship event to be considered an All-American. Starting in 2011, the USTFCCCA implemented a system where any athlete who qualifies for the NCAA Championship meet receives some form of recognition. Finishers 1-8 are considered first-team All-Americans, places 9-16 are considered second-team All-Americans, and places 17-24 receive honorable mention.
* The 2020 NCAA Indoor Championships were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. All qualifiers were named All-Americans without first or second-team designations.
