2014 (Junior): Pitched in 11 games, started four times … began the year in the starting rotation before transitioning to a relief role later in the year … went 0-1 with one save in 23.1 innings of work … started the Toledo game in the Furman First Pitch Invitational tournament, taking the loss while allowing three runs in four innings … gave up two runs in a season-high 4.1 innings of relief work in the opener of first Delaware State series … earned the save in a win over DSU in early April by striking out the last two hitters of the game with the bases loaded … named to the NSU Athletics Director’s Honor Roll for both the fall and spring semesters.

Patrick Henry CC: Went 8-4 with a 3.28 ERA over 82.1 innings pitched last year at Patrick Henry CC, the same school that produced former NSU ace Chris Horne … Haynes struck out 43 batters and tossed five complete games as a sophomore … was 1-0 with a 2.84 ERA in eight appearances as a freshman.

High School: Owns the MVHS school record with six career saves … also won four games and had a career 1.89 ERA for Mountain View … high school teammate of current Spartan Mikey Bruno.

Personal: Corey T. Haynes was born on April 27, 1993 … son of Mike and Susan Haynes … majoring in health physical education.
