2018 (Freshman): Made 21 appearances (second on the team), all in relief … Notched five saves, tied for fourth in the MEAC and tied for fifth in single-season NSU history … Went 2-for-4 with a 2.70 ERA and 39 strikeouts in 40 innings … Allowed just 28 hits and a .204 opponents’ batting average … Struck out three in his second collegiate outing, against Villanova … Fanned five and allowed just one unearned run over 3.1 innings pitched against Hofstra … That was one of six straight outings where Santos did not allow an earned run … Picked up his first two collegiate saves in the last two of those appearances, with a single scoreless innings against both Lehigh and Maryland Eastern Shore … Picked up his first win of the season with two-thirds of a scoreless inning against Coppin State … The following day, pitched a season-high 4.2 innings and struck out three against CSU … Fanned four over 2.2 innings to earn a save against Delaware State in early April … Turned around three days later and got a save at N.C. Central with two scoreless innings and three more strikeouts … Earned a win in the first game of the next MDES series, pitching 2.2 innings without allowing a hit … Earned a four-inning save against Longwood, allowing just one hit and no runs.

High School: Played on the varsity squad all four years … As a senior, picked up second-team all-conference honors as an outfielder after batting .327 … On the mound, went 4-1 with a 2.14 ERA and 61 strikeouts in 39.1 innings pitched … Named to the all-conference first team and all-region second team as an outfielder while also earning second-team all-conference honors as a pitcher his junior season … Posted a 1.41 ERA and 46 strikeouts in 34.2 innings worked as a junior … Also batted .486 that season … Threw two no-hitters in high school, one each in his junior and senior seasons … Member of the National Honor Society.
