Personal: Joshua V. Boyd was born on Jan. 15, 1991 … son of John and Valerie Boyd … majoring in interdisciplinary studies … older brother, John, was a three-year starter for the Spartans from 2006-08, earning two All-MEAC awards at designated hitter and hitting 14 career home runs.
